What to do with leftovers + Last Minute Tips

What to do with Christmas or any Food Leftovers

Often we get too much food at Christmas because we want a feast. So how do you reduce waste, not feel as though you are eating the same thing for days and save money?

Use the tips in this article to help you.

A few to get you started:

Evaluate what you have and what needs to be used first.
Think about what can be saved for later e.g. freeze things in portions.
Look at ways you can turn what you have into something new e.g. leftover chicken ideas here or leftover ham ideas here or a huge list of food from apple peel to zucchini here.
Make notes to plan differently next year.

What I Am Reading

Continuing the theme from the past few weeks of health and wealth here are two useful books.

Good Energy: The Surprising Connection Between Glucose, Metabolism and Limitless Health by Dr Casey Means has been on my list for a while so I am glad to finally read it. As someone with PCOS and other health issues, any information I can get about improving my health is important to me.

Good Energy offers an essential four-week plan and explains:

  • The five biomarkers that determine your risk for a deadly disease
  • Six lifelong food principles to implement whether you’re carnivore or vegan
  • The crucial links between sleep, circadian rhythm, and metabolism
  • A framework for exercise focused on building simple movement into every day
  • How cold and heat exposure helps build our body’s resilience
  • Steps to navigate the medical system to get what you need for optimal health

As for business or wealth, a few of the books that helped with our business are Profit First, The Diary of a CEO: The 33 Laws of Business and Life and Never Split The Difference.
